Opinions/advice needed Am I an a hole?
I told my best mate over a few beers tonight that if I see a driver throw a lit cigarette out the window and I capture it clearly on my dash camera footage that I report them to the EPA.
He straight out said I'm an asshole.
Am I an asshole?

Photography I was developing a roll of film the other day, and instead of the photos I took, the film contained old photos already taken. Does anyone know who these people are so that they can enjoy some old memories that were re-discovered?

Opinions/advice needed Inpatient Rehab Options in Melbourne
Hi All
My partner is in the 28-Day Detox & Withdrawal Program for Alcohol Addiction at the Hader Clinic. It cost us $3K with private health insurance.
Upon its completion he needs to move to an Inpatient Rehabilitation Program. The one at Hader costs $8K for 28 days and not covered by private health insurance. Since we cannot afford it, we need to find a cheaper option at somewhere else.
I'm looking at the following as alternative to Hader:
Delmont Private - Inpatient Therapy Program
Melbourne Private - Inpatient Addictive Behaviours Program
Melbourne Private - Dual Diagnosis Program
I would appreciate your advice if you navigated a similar situation or attended any of these programs after completing a detox program at somewhere else.

Politics Should Melbourne Ban / Tax / Restrict airbnb?

PSA Dog hit by car Calder Fwy
Hi everyone, I just wanted to put out a heart felt reminder to make sure your backyard is secure for your dog not to get out. Yesterday around Keilor on the Calder fwy, a dog ran across the road and was hit by the car in front. I stopped obviously as it went behind the vehicle in front of me and it was very traumatic. The poor boy was still breathing but I’ve never seen eyes like that. Everyone was crying. I won’t say what I saw on his body but there was no way he would survive. I’m still in shock and I had spend the night cuddling my own little woofa. This is so tragic and my heart goes out to that boy and it’s parents. Also thank you to the passer-by who offered to call the number on the tag as I was too shaken.

Real estate/Renting Just handed my notice to vacate our rental and property manager says "Please keep the electricity connection in 10 days so that we can finish the final inspection smoothly". Is this even right or legal? I always thought we disconnect the power as soon as we hand the keys.

The Sky is Falling Small, glowing blue eggs (?) at the beach?
Last night at around 1am I was at the beach when I noticed a little glowing blue dot. After further inspection, there was more and more after slightly disturbing the sand. I managed to seperate a couple from the sand, and they looked like tiny eggs. Is this dangerous for people/animals? I’m worried as the colour makes me think blue ring.

Ye Olde Melbourne What’s with the hordes of eshays at brighton beach station?
Never been to the station at night before and was cooked out. Is the meme of them all having rich parents true? Or do they just migrate there every night?

Opinions/advice needed Free things to do around Burwood?
I've been here for 4 years and I don't do anything at all. I'm bored. I live in Burwood and don't drive, so I can travel only by public transport, but I really really hate long PT trips. I'm also super broke and can't afford to do anything that costs money. There seems to be a lot of cool outdoors stuff like parks and gardens, but the weather is getting shitty. I literally can't think of anything.
If anyone has any ideas for fun and free things to do near Burwood (or on the 75 tramline or 767 bus), please let me know!!

Ye Olde Melbourne Thank you Melbourne
Hi everyone, I posted last week seeking ideas for exporting the city (without reading the rules first). I am wrapping up my trip in your beautiful city this morning. I just wanted to thank you all for hosting me and my daughter. I could not believe how much I loved the architecture of your buildings and the friendliness of you all with my dumb questions while getting around. I loved how easy the trams were, especially the free zone!
Some highlights were the Krabby Crab Boil, 2D Cafe, Maniax ace throwing, and the little surprises we found down little alleyways. And of course everyone at Knotfest m/ !!!
Thank you again and I can't wait to visit again!
Much love!

Opinions/advice needed Why are so many boorish/abusive people employed as managers and 2ICs in hospitality ?
RANT : I've worked in hospo on and off for over 5 years and faced more bullying and casual racism from the people I've work with than actual customers. Today a manager was extremely micro managey and rude to me and a coworker and lowkey intimidated the supervisor to clock us off early (after 4 hrs, the shift was meant to be 9hrs) and said "I saw them chatting to each other" I did not even know the guy's name and I hadn't said a word to him aside from "do you think we need more stock". I really wanted to say something but I just ended up crying instead and hate myself for it. This is not the first time this has happened and it's ALWAYS the people I'm working with being incredibly hostile and on days like this I find it quite hard to love this city and its people.
